The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of essential accounting functions, including accounts/pledge receivables, donation processing, and general ledger entries. This role also includes duties to ensure accurate bi-weekly payroll processing and maintenance of the payroll system and reporting. Additionally, the Staff Accountant is responsible for recording monthly journal entries and supporting various financial processes to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.  
 
Essential Job Functions

• Reviews and verifies daily accounting activity, including payment processing, Accounts Receivable, and banking transactions.
• Prepares month-end journal entries in a timely manner.
• Maintain balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.
• Review and approval of expenses, preparing monthly journal entries of expense reimbursements and credit card activity. Maintains and manages the expense management system.
