The positions purpose is to play a key role in the Club’s Player Wellbeing team with the aim that each player in the squad is in such a state of flourishing mental health that they are able to realise their abilities and potential. The Wellbeing Executive will play a major part in the development and operation of a good wellbeing practice within the first-team environment that will assist in players being able to cope with the everyday stresses of work and domestic life. This support will extend to the player’s partner and families and will focus on various elements of wellbeing; cultural, community, environmental, financial, physical, psychological and spiritual.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assessing and supporting players and their families with their mental health and wellbeing, undertaking interviews to identify areas where they may wish to see change and security of mind.
Formulating specific resulting wellbeing plans for player/families.
Providing relevant follow-up information and signposting of services.
Ensuring players and their families have access to do more of the activities that matter to them, whilst also helping to connected them to other player families, the Club and the wider community.
Helping to build an educational platform so that overseas arrivals into the Club may quickly understand and adapt to local and UK culture.
