Application Deadline - 28th Apr 2025 @ 12:00 am (BST)

The IMF is seeking an energetic person with excellent communication and organisational ability, who holds a passion for health, fitness, and First Nations Australia, to manage the delivery of the IMF Indigenous Communities for Activity and Nutrition (I-CAN) program.

I-CAN operates in remote and regional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia, usually in primary schools. It is a fun and educational program that screens, educates, and improves the physical literacy and physical health of children. I-CAN coordinates the delivery of games and activities in schools and communities to improve the skill, abilities, understanding and enjoyment of physical activity and health and encourages school attendance. It also builds running and fitness tracks and infrastructure in communities to assist in the children’s development.

The role requires management of contracted personnel (measure team leaders) who are responsible for the physical delivery of the program inclusive of data collection. To enable program delivery, the I-CAN Officer is responsible for engagement with school staff, logistic planning, data entry and report production, and feedback and report presentation. Some travel may be required for program delivery, when a contracted option is unavailable and/or for training of contractors.
