Wigan Swimming Club (Wasps or WSC) in Greater Manchester is seeking a suitably qualified coach to fulfil the role of Head Coach within our Club. This is a part-time role of approximately 10 – 12 hours a week split between pool time coaching and administration.

The Club is dedicated to its swimmers and has members who are just starting out in the sport of swimming and members who are currently in national training squads in swimming. Swimmers of all abilities are encouraged whether they are swimming competitively or just for fun and fitness. We provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals in the sport of swimming, whilst aspiring to be an elite club focused on the effective development of talent, competing at the highest levels, regionally and nationally. The Club is Swim Mark accredited with around 130 members of varying ability, ranging from Swim England Level 7 to Masters level.

The role of Head Coach role is to inspire, motivate and support swimmers at all levels. They must impart the Club's ethos and drive its success, provide skilled and confident leadership to swimmers, fellow coaches and Club volunteers so that everyone allied to the club may enjoy swimming and achieve their full potential.
