General Manager - Virginia United FC
Make a difference in a role like few others.
Community football clubs have come a long way in the past 20 years and ours is no different, this growth means we are now a small business with 1500 male and female players across multiple age groups, competing in community, academy, seniors and master's football.
A large associated membership of parents and supporters plus an engaged portfolio of sponsors, full and part time staff requires a flexible General Manager to deliver positive outcomes for all.
No two days are the same and your ability to be across all aspects of the day to day running of the club, government and council relationships, Football Queensland standards and requirements will help set the agenda for the continued growth of the club.
The role will require working when football is happening and that means weekends during season, after normal hours while players train and carnivals during school holidays. The season runs for nine months, so this role will offer a period of time to set the club up for the next season, while football is not being played. Your ability to manage staff and the game day experience un-supervised will allow flexibility in weekend work.
