Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Financial Controller has overall responsibility for the Financial Management, People and Culture and ICT functions of Baseball Australia and the Australian Baseball League.  

Key Accountabilities 

• Planning: Overseeing the annual budget process, long-term financial forecasting, and cash flow management. 
• Reporting: Preparing monthly management accounts and bi-monthly Board reports, including all month-end processes. 
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards, and tax regulations (GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT). 
• Processes: Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, and asset management. 
• Audit & Annual Financial Statements: Coordinating external audits and preparing consolidated annual financial statements. 
• Leadership: Mentoring and managing a small team to achieve organisational objectives.
